ABOUT ME

Passion. Persistence. Perseverance.

Born in Limassol, Cyprus and later moved to London, UK to finally find his beach tennis home in Hermosa Beach, California in 2014. In 2020 he moved back to Cyprus to help develop the sport.

Yiannis has been involved in sports since a very young age. In 2009, he discovered Beach Tennis and got the 'bug'.

​

Fast forward a few years and Yiannis, based on his International Ranking, was selected to represent Great Britain three (3) times in the World Team Championships in Moscow, Russia and four times (4) in the European Championships in San Marino, UK and Greece.

Yiannis has enjoyed great success in the sports scene in California and specifically in the Mixed Doubles Category, winning multiple championships with partner Carolina Hannes (USA) and the late Petya Jesse Yaneva (BUL) who passed away in 2018 suddenly.

His main goal and mission is to promote the growth of Beach Tennis worldwide by introducing the sport to the youth through various events and social media involvement and assist in making a strong case for including the sport in the Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 2028.
